What is an Access Control System?
An Access Control System (ACS) enables an authority to control access to areas and resources in a facility. Installing an ACS protects your home, commercial office, industrial site, school, church, or government entity from unauthorized access. An ACS determines who is allowed to enter and exit a facility, and where and when they can enter or exit.
Is a lock and key enough?
Traditional lock and key systems can restrict entry to a facility, but they cannot control entry and exit times, or provide records of who used which key when. Keys can also be easily copied or given to an unauthorized person. If a key is lost, or a key holder is no longer authorized, all locks must be changed to keep the area secure.
ACS’s make lock and key systems a thing of the past. With an ACS, you can grant entry based on specific criteria. When entry is granted, the gate is unlocked only for a preset amount of time, and each entry or exit is recorded. When entry is refused, the gate remains locked, and the attempted access is recorded. If the gate is forced open or held open for too long, the ACS sounds an alarm.

We provide a variety of ACS’s, including access control reader and keypads, card access, swipe card access, fingerprint access, smart card access, proximity access, wireless or remote access, and many more. Automatic Gate Openers
Today’s technology has made almost everything automated, including gates. Automatic gates are far more secure and convenient than manual gates. They are operated through automatic gate motors, or remote controls, which allow you to open and close your automatic gate from the safety of your home, business, or car.
When selecting an automatic gate, you should consider the type of gate (swing or slide), and the type of motor (battery or solar powered) that is best for your location. Schedule a Free Consultation and one of our trained experts will help you determine which automatic gate meets your needs and your budget.
Remote Gate Openers
Remote gate openers allow you to access your automatic gate from the comfort of your home, office, or car. A secure remote ACS can give you peace of mind as you enter and exit your location.
Automatic gate remote controls may be wireless, wired, or plug-in. Telephone entry remotes are also available. Choose from the top-rated brands of remote controls, like DoorKing, Linear, Chamberlin, Liftmaster, and more. Call today to speak with one of our experts about your remote access needs.
Swing Gates vs. Slide Gates
Swing gates and slide gates are the two most commonly used automatic gate systems. When choosing between a swing gate and a slide gate, you should consider the size, weight, and space available at your location. Automatic swing gates range in size up to 20 feet, and slide gates up to 100 feet. Swing gates may also include underground loops to allow exit without a remote. Our experts can help you determine whether a swing or slide gate is best for your needs.
Barrier Gates vs. Security Gates
Barrier gates are commonly installed at commercial facilities, but may also be used by certain residences. They range in length from 8 to 36 feet. Barrier gates provide a facility with security and parking access with an automatic arm that swings open and closed.
Security gates are more commonly installed at international airports, military bases, government sites, oil companies, corrections facilities, gated communities, and VIP residences. Our experts can help you determine whether a barrier or security gate is best for your location.
